When and How Did I Get Into Competing?

I had no idea what it would be like competing in the British Championships, so the only way to find out was to travel to the 4th Round of the 2005 British Tour held at Littlehampton and take part.
I arrived early Friday to watch the Pro-ladies Event and see what tricks they were pulling off in their heats but the forecast for the Saturday and Sunday wasn’t looking very promising.
With a lot of encouragement I put my name down for the Pro-ladies Event so I could get the chance to try out competing, I had originally planned to go into the amateur ladies event but it was a strong possibility that this might not run over the weekend. There was no turning back - once I was signed in I would have to stay in the Pro’s until the end of year.
I was so nervous but I took part in the Pro’s and got to meet the famous Jo Wilson and Adreya Wharry. I really enjoyed performing the best I could in the timed heats and surprised myself by coming in 4th place. From then on I never looked back and have carried on with the Competitions.
